Amma Vodi Scheme: Jagan Reddy Announces ₹ 15,000 A Year For Women With School-going Children. The Andhra Pradesh government had issued the order sanctioning financial assistance to about 43 lakh mothers or guardians.

Summary: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the flagship ‘Amma Vodi’ scheme to support lakhs of below poverty line mothers or guardians to educate their children.

Under the scheme, a financial assistance of ₹15,000 will be given to nearly 43 lakh mothers or guardians who send their children to school. Student enrolment has already increased by 30% in the current academic year after the announcement of the scheme.

This incentive will enable her to educate her child/children from Class I to XII in all the following institutions-

Amma Vodi Scheme Online Registration Process

Andhra Pradesh (AP) Amma Vodi scheme for mothers: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched the massive Amma Vodi scheme under which the below poverty line (BPL) women with school-going children will get direct financial assistance of ₹ 15,000 annually. The money will be accrued to the bank accounts of beneficiaries every year in January, till their children pass out of school.

Procedure to Apply Online Amma Vodi Scheme Application Form 2020

Step 1- Visit the Official Website of Amma Vodi Scheme i.e. http://jaganannaammavodi.ap.gov.in/.

Step 2- On the Homepage, Click on the Option “Amma Vodi application form” button.

Step 3- Application Form page will be displayed on the screen.

Step 4- Now enter the required details (Mention all the details such as name, father/ husband name, date of birth, gender, caste and other information) and upload documents.

Step 5- Finally, Carefully check all of the information and submit it to your nearest government office or you can also upload it to the official website of the Andhra Pradesh government.

Beneficiary Guidelines

All below poverty line mothers/ guardians in the state with school-going children, studying in class 1-12 in either private, government, aided or unaided schools will be eligible for the financial assistance. The student must be a permanent and legal resident of Andhra Pradesh state. Children must have 75 per cent attendance in schools, and their families must be white ration card holder, to avail the scheme. Those who drop out of schools would stop being beneficiary. The family should have a white ration card The family should own either a valid Aadhaar Card or a Voter ID Card The student must have a working and eligible PAN card. A State Government Official’s ward is not applicable for the scheme.

His government’s flagship programme ‘Amma Vodi’ scheme is meant to support lakhs of poor and needy mothers to educate their children. The state government had issued the order sanctioning financial assistance to about 43 lakh mothers or guardians last week. The scheme says that the mothers of minors, who are studying in school (Class 1-Class 12), whether in private, government, aided or unaided schools, are eligible for the scheme. Funds to the tune of ₹ 6,455.80 crore have been allocated for implementation of the scheme in the academic year 2019-20 in all government, private aided, private unaided schools/junior colleges.

• Strength less than 100 – Before the 25th of November.
