The Preliminary Examination consists of two papers of two hours duration each. This examination is meant to serve as the screening test only. The marks obtained in the preliminary examination by the candidates who are declared qualified for admission to the APSC Main examination are not counted for determining the final selection.

APSC Combined Competitive Prelims Exam Pattern 2020

The key features of APSC CC Prelims Written Exam are –

• The questions are of multiple choice objective types.
• The exam consists of two papers.
• The duration of each paper is 2 hours.
• OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) answer sheet will be provided for answering questions.
• Candidates will have to use ONLY BLACK BALL PEN.

• Veterinary Science and Agriculture & Animal Husbandry
• Not more than one subject amongst all the Engineering subjects

Interview Test (Total of 200 marks)

• There will not be any qualifying marks or cut off marks for the Interview. However, at the end of the interview, the marks obtained by the candidates will be added to the total marks scored and the rankings will be decided according to that. The candidates will be called for an interview by the board.
• The results obtained in the main exam will determine whether the candidate will be called for the interview or not. The selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in the exam.
• Aspirants will be allocated with posts according to their preference keeping in mind the marks they obtain in the exam.
• Any candidate will not be forced to accept for a post which He/ she has not opted for.
