Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has introduced “Gujarat two wheeler subsidy scheme“. Gujarat Government will provide subsidy of 12,000 rupees to school students studying in Standard-9th to colleges for battery-operated two-wheelers. Gujarat Electric Vehicle Scheme 2020: Online Application Form PDF Download – As per the report by Indian Express, The Gujarat government has announced a new scheme for the promotion of electric vehicles (two and three-wheelers) in the state, under which it will be offering a subsidy to buyers of electric vehicles in the state. Furthermore, the state government will provide assistance of Rs 48,000 for the purchase of battery-powered e-rickshaws for individual and institutional beneficiaries. The subsidy will provide for first 10,000 two-wheelers and 5,000 three-wheelers. The government also announced that ten public charging stations will be set up in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot to facilitate charging of e-vehicles. A sum of Rs 50 lakh has been earmarked for setting up these charging stations. MoU Of The Scheme In order to revolutionise the initiatives for climate change, the State government inked memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with 10 organisations for a variety of objectives. The event also marked the virtual signing of 10 MoUs between the department of climate change and institutes such as IITs, IIMs, BISAG, Anand Agricultural University and other departments of the government such as GSRTC, Gujarat Gas, GUJCOST, GLPC, the chief town planner, GSTBM and Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat.
