Update : Now under this scheme different amount has been fixed for the marriage of girls of different classes. Under Haryana Kanyadan Yojana, the amount received by beneficiary girls has been increased to Rs 51,000 (The amount received by the beneficiary daughter will be increased to Rs 51,000).

Summary: The Haryana government has launched the Mukhyamantri Vivah Shagun Scheme for girls belonging to the economically weaker section. Under this scheme, funds ranging from 11,000 to 51,000 rupees are given as omen for the marriage of girls.
Girls belonging to Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes (BC) also get the benefit of this scheme. For the widow’s daughter’s wedding, the destitute woman’s daughter’s wedding, and the orphan girls’ wedding also get the benefit of the CM Vivah Shagun Scheme.

Shaadi Shagun Scheme Objective
The scheme, being run by the Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of Haryana, aims to provide grants to the daughters of backward class families for their marriage. The objective of this scheme is to motivate poor, women sportspersons (any caste / class / any income) and widows / destitute women to marry courtesy.
Implementation of Chief Minister Shaadi Shagun Scheme
In the implementation of this scheme, the amount of assistance to the beneficiary girls will be distributed in several stages. Along with this, different help has been prescribed for different classes.
| Widow women to marry daughters | According to the provisions of this scheme, an amount of Rs 51,000 will be provided as financial assistance for the marriage of the children of the widowed woman. This amount will be provided in two installments. The first installment (Rs. 46,000) will be given before the marriage of the girl or on her wedding and the second installment (Rs. 5,000) within 6 months. |
| Funds for widows / divorced, destitute women, orphans and destitute girls living below the poverty line | An amount of Rs 41,000 will be provided to the beneficiary girls in this category in two installments. The amount of first installment will be given at the time of marriage of Rs. 36 thousand and for depositing marriage registration letter for Rs. 5 thousand for 6 months of marriage. |

शगुन राशि के लिए लड़की के विवाह से एक माह पहले ऑनलाइन आवेदन करना होगा। ऑनलाइन आवेदन के लिए लाभ पात्र द्वारा www.hariyana welfare schemes.org पर लॉग इन करना होगा। पेज खुलने के बाद कॉलम भरने के अतिरिक्त बीपीएल, राशन कार्ड, माता-पिता का बैंक खाता नंबर, वर वधू की आयु, विवाह कार्ड संबंधी सभी दस्तावेज ऑनलाइन अपलोड करने होंगे। आवेदक की लाभपात्रता सही पाए जाने पर, एक माह की समयावधि में शगुन राशि सीधे पात्र के बैंक खाते में जमा करवाई जायेगी। शुरूआत से अब तक 1335617 आवेदन साइट पर हो चुके हैं।

-आवेदक हरियाणा का निवासी हो ।
-दुल्हन की उम्र 18 साल या उससे अधिक हो ।
-दूल्हे की उम्र 21 साल या उससे अधिक हो ।
-विधवा/ तलाकशुदा महिला,जिसने पहले इस योजना लाभ नहीं लिया हो ।

- One person will be given benefit up to two daughters.
- 51000 rupees for the marriage of the daughter of a widow woman with less than one lakh rupees. A grant of Rs 5000 is payable on showing the marriage registration certificate 46000 before marriage and 6 months after marriage.
- BPL grant of Rs 41,000 to SC / ST and widows / divorced / orphans of destitute women. A grant of Rs 5000 is payable by showing a marriage registration certificate of Rs 36000 before marriage and 6 months after marriage.
- A grant of Rs 11,000 to other BPL families who have at least 2.5 acres of land. A grant of Rs 10,000 before marriage and Rs 1,000 by showing marriage registration certificate 6 months after marriage.
- If female players (of any caste / any income) give them a grant of Rs 31,000.

Labour Department has launched Kanyadan Yojna (कन्यादान योजना) in Haryana to provide assistance to labourers on the occasion of their daughter’s marriage. Under Kanyadaan Scheme, all the registered laborers will get financial aid of Rs. 51,000 before 3 days of girl’s marriage.
This amount is given by the labor department for the marriage of upto 3 daughters of a single family. The labourers can avail this aid as Kanyadaan before 3 days only for their daughter’s marriage not on their son’s marriage. This amount is in addition to the Rs. 50,000 assistance under Haryana Labour Welfare Board Marriage Assistance Scheme.
