The State Cabinet in its meeting held here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur decided to continue with registration for people entering the State till 15th September, 2020. It also decided to open big temples/religious places of the State by 10th September, 2020. Language, Art and Culture Department will prepare SOP in this regard. It was decided that the quarantine requirement be reduced from 14 days to 10 days. The District Administration would strictly enforce use of masks and social distancing in the field.
The Cabinet decided to provide wheat flour and rice to the income tax payee APL Consumers under Public Distribution System as was being provided to them earlier on APL rates and provide them pulses, edible oil, salt and sugar on zero subsidy on actual rates.
To address the vision of ‘Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ significantly by creating a sustainable ecosystem of affordable rental housing solutions for urban migrants/poor and to achieve overall objective of ‘Housing for All’, the State Cabinet decided to request Ministry of Housing and Urban affairs, Government of India to sign Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) related to Affordable Rental Housing Complexes Scheme with the State Government.
The Cabinet gave its approval to open Sub Treasury at Nagrota Bagwan in Kangra district alongwith creation of five posts of different categories to manage this Sub Treasury.
It gave its consent to open Sub Tehsil at Bagachanogi in Tehsil Thunag of Mandi district alongwith creation of 12 posts of different categories. The newly created Sub Tehsil will have six patwar circles viz. Shawa, Kalhani, Kalipar, Shilhibagi and Jainshla.
The Cabinet also gave its nod to open Patwar circle Jainshla under Tehsil Thunag of Mandi district keeping in view the tough geographic conditions of the area.
It decided to fill up 10 posts of class IV employees in Panchayati Raj Department.
It gave its approval to transfer Gram Panchayat Kot from Police Station Shimla East (Chhota Shimla) to Police Station West (Boileauganj) in district Shimla to facilitate the people.
Presentations were also made by the Industries department before the Cabinet regarding proposed ‘Bulk Drug Pharma Park’, ‘Energy Charges in the State’ and on ‘Brick Kiln and their related issues’.
