• Following points are to be taken care of while looking out for applying with IIM Distance Learning Education option:
• -A selection process for IIM Programs is carried out on National level.
• -A National level management aptitude test is conducted.
• -An IOL (Interactive Onsite Learning) would be conducted to check if you qualify in the exam or not which will be followed by an interview on the same platform.
• -Candidates can apply online on the official websites of IIM-Schools. All the details are mentioned there on eligibility and admission process. Please follow through with all the rules to avoid disqualification.

Amongst all the IIM B-Schools, IIM Kozhikode was the first to start the Distance learning education program. It was a great beginning that paved the way for future progression. This program was first launched long back in 2001.

It included an exclusive development program on software project management along with 6 more executive management programs. IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, and IIM Lucknow followed suit and began the distance education wing. These courses are a result of the joint collaboration of IIM and HughesNet Education.

The fees structure for IIM Distance learning MBA is rs. 4,99,000/- This includes all the study material and books. However, the fee structure is subject to change with time so needs to be checked on the official website before applying.

There are a different kind of courses available with IIM for distance learning. A few of them are:

• Executive Post Graduate Programme (ePGP)
• Executive Education Programme in Finance (eEPF)
• Executive Education Programme in Strategic Management (eEPSM)
• Executive Education Programme in Marketing (eEPM)
• Executive Education Programme in Operations Management (eEPOM)

The selection is process is done via a test. It is an Executive Management Aptitude test (Emat) for Executive Management Education Program. This test is conducted annually. Once the students qualify for the written exam they are called for Group Discussions and interviews. There is a special platform created for this called an IOL platform.

For other courses of IIM (other than MBA) the selection happens directly based on the submissions and interviews.
