KVPY Aptitude Test -2020 will be conducted on 31 January 2021. In this regard, a recently released notification has been issued on the official website of KVPY-2020. According to the notification, the selection process of KVPY Fellowship has undergone a major change this year due to the emergency situation caused by Covid-19.

Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana 2020 Apply Online

Summary: Students studying in XI, XII and BSc first year who are looking forward to study science, applications have been sought for scholarship under Kishore Scientific Incentive Scheme. Students studying in XI and XII can apply till October 5. The application process has started. Kishore Scientific Incentive Scheme Aptitude Test 2020 will be conducted on 31 January 2021.

Candidates have to first check the suitable stream namely SA, SX and SB, and then have to apply accordingly. To get the fellowship, the students need to clear an KVPY aptitude test and no interview will be conducted this year 2020. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana Online Registration Process

The Kishore Scientific Protsahan Yojana is a prestigious fellowship program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. In this program, students of science subjects of class-11, class-12 and first year at the college level can participate.

The high-level entrance exam for the selection of students at the national level was usually conducted in two-stages. The first phase was an online aptitude test and in the first phase, a second phase personal interview was conducted for successful students.

For KVPY fellowship, students can apply online from the official website www.kvpy.iisc.ernet.in. For general category, the online application fee is Rs 1250 and for SC-ST, PWD students, the fee is Rs 650.

Procedure to Apply Online Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana Application Form 2020

Step 1- Visit the Official Website of Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana i.e. www.kvpy.iisc.ernet.in.

Step 2- On the Homepage, Click on the link referring to KVPY Aptitude test 2020 Application portal.

Step 3- Registration Form page will be displayed on the screen.

Step 4- Now, Register yourself by filling the personal details like Name, contact number, father’s name, gender, age

Step 5- Select the exam centre and upload the scanned image of a recent photograph and signature

Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana Eligibility Criteria

Beneficiary Guidelines – Educational Qualification
For Stream SA: Candidates who enrolled themselves in Class 11th (science stream) must apply for this exam. Minimum Marks: Candidates must pass class 10th with Mathematics & Science subjects with a minimum 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWD).

For Stream SX: Qualifying Exam: Candidates who have taken admission in class 12th (science subjects) can apply. Minimum Marks: Candidates must score a minimum 60% (50% for SC/ST/PwD) in Mathematics and Science subjects (PCB) in Class 12th. Candidates also have to obtain at least 75% (65% in case of SC/ST/PwD) in class 10th.

For Stream SB: Qualifying Exam: Candidates who enrolled in 1st year of the UG programme in Basic Science (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics & Biology)- B.Sc/BS/B.Math./B.Stat./MS/Int. M.Sc) can apply for this exam. Minimum Marks: Candidates must score at least 60% (50% in case of SC/ST/PwD category) in 10+2 examination. In the first year of their final exam in B.Sc/BS/B.Math./B.Stat./MS/Int. M.Sc, students must secure 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD).

ABOUT SCHEME
Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana 2020: Online Application Form PDF Download –  The “Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana” (KVPY) is a program started in 1999 by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India to encourage students who are studying Basic Sciences to take up research career in Science. The aim of the program is to identify and encourage talented and motivated students to pursue career in research.

To participate in the KVPY Aptitude Test -2020 under S-A and S-X stream of KVPY Fellowship, students must have 75% marks in Science and Mathematics subjects in Tenth Board Examination. SC, ST and PWD students have been given a relaxation of 10 percentage points in the eligibility, that is, for these category students, the eligibility is 65 percent marks.

KVPY Selection Process

Aptitude Test: Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria for various streams,  will be called for  aptitude test conducted both in Hindi and English at different centers across the country on Sunday, th31st January 2021.

The KVPY-Fellowship selection process for the academic year 2020-21 will be conducted in only one phase. This year the selection for the fellowship will be done on the basis of marks in the KVPY Aptitude Test. The personal interview to be conducted under the second phase will not be held this year.

KVPY Admit card

Students may download the admit card for the aptitude test from the website from the second week of January 2021. Candidates can download the KVPY 2020 admit card by entering their user id and password, going through the official website at kvpy.iisc.ernet.in.

KYPY 2020 Answer Key

Answer keys for KVPY are published on the official website, kvpy.iisc.ernet.in along with the question papers. The answers are released according to different streams SA, SX and SB in a PDF file format. Candidates can use the answer keys along with question papers to calculate the scores.

KVPY 2020 Result

Result for KVPY releases online at kvpy.iisc.ernet.in. IISc Bangalore releases all India Rank List, which consists of the All India Rank of the candidates and is prepared according to the marks of the candidates in the aptitude test.

Candidates need to login with their application number and DOB to check their result for aptitude test. The qualified candidates then need to appear for a further counselling session and fee payment to secure their seat.
