Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur paid his rich tributes to the chief architect of the Indian Constitution and the first Law Minister of Independent India, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on his 64th death anniversary by garlanding his statue at Ambedkar Chowk Shimla today.
The Chief Minister said that the thoughts and ideals of Dr. Ambedkar continue to guide and give strength to millions of people of the Country. Apart from his stellar contributions towards the country’s polity, Dr. Ambedkar was also the torchbearer of Dalit activism, he added.
Urban Development and Law Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, Mayor Shimla Municipal Corporation Satya Kondal, Deputy Commissioner Shimla Aditya Negi, Superintendent of Police Mohit Chawla, and people of different walks of life paid floral tributes to the architect of India Constitution.
