IIM CAT Syllabus 2020- CAT Topics wise syllabus for VARC, DI&LR, QA Sections:

The CAT 2020 will be held on 29th November 2020 in two sessions. The CAT Entrance Exam will be organized in test centers spread across 147 cities. There will three sections in which questions will be asked such as Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DI & LR) and Quantitative Ability (QA). CAT Exam Pattern 2020- Section Wise Marking Scheme:

We are giving in brief details of CAT Exam Syllabus and pattern in this article. The CAT question paper will carry 100 questions of objective type multiple choices. These questions divided into three sections like Verbal & Reading Comprehension (VARC) – 34, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR)- 32 and Quantitative Ability (QA)- 34.

All the sections carry both multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Non-MCQs (Subjective Questions). 3 marks allotted for each correct answer and 1 mark deducted for an incorrect answer. The duration of the test will be 180 minutes. There will be three sections:

• Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
• Section III: Quantitative Ability

IIM CAT Exam Syllabus 2020 Section Wise:

CAT Syllabus 2020 for DILR section in CAT 2020 is divided into two parts i.e. Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning. The 1st part of CAT 2020 syllabus covers questions based on Data Interpretation (DI) and the 2nd part of the CAT 2020 exam syllabus on DILR is based on questions on different topics on Logical Reasoning.

VARC section in CAT 2020 is divided into 2 parts. The 1st part of CAT 2020 syllabus covers questions based on Reading Comprehension passages and the 2nd part of the CAT 2020 exam syllabus on VARC is based on questions on different topics on Verbal Ability.

Reading Comprehension- The reading comprehension passages are generally of medium length, carrying 250 to 500 words. Question types can be either direct or inferential.
