These beneficiaries have met the Collector and other officials several times in the districts and demanded funds. The Department of Social Justice and Disabled Welfare was earlier stating lack of budget, but now there is also budget. More than Rs 62 crore is to be given to the beneficiaries. |

Summary: The objective of Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah and Nikah Yojana is to provide financial assistance for the marriage of daughters / widows / divorced women of poor, needy and destitute families.
In the year 2006 it was started under the name of Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana but in November 2015 it was renamed as Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah and Nikah Yojana.
Under this scheme, the government spends 51,000 rupees on the wedding of all the girls who have mass marriages. Apart from this, the scheme also provides for single marriage with the tribal marriage system prevalent in tribal areas.
