Summary: Chief Minister Mr. Naveen Patnaik, Government of Odisha has launched the Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) scheme on 21st December 2018. This is the biggest ever individual beneficiary scheme in the history of Odisha.
The Odisha State Government has launched this scheme for Farmers, cultivators, croppers and landless agriculture labourers. The beneficiary 1st, 2nd & 3rd Phase List will get financial Assistance to Farmers from Rs 10,000/- per Annum to Rs 4000/-under the Kalia scheme.

KALIA Yojana Odisha 2020
KALIA scheme is a package for farmer’s welfare. KALIA stands for “Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation”. This scheme has been launched by Odisha Government to accelerate Agricultural Prosperity and reduce poverty in the State.
Small and marginal farmers, landless Agricultural household, vulnerable Agricultural household, landless Agricultural labourers and sharecroppers (Actual cultivators) all growth are eligible under different components of scheme. Total of 50 lakh families will be covered under the scheme
Under Kalia scheme, the government will provide 5 types of benefits to the beneficiaries such as: –
- Support for farming
- Support for livelihood
- financial help
- Life cover
- Interest free crop loan.
Objectives of KALIA Yojana Odisha
Financing agriculture and insuring the cultivators is essential to eradicate poverty and to boost shared prosperity of the state. Through the implementation of Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation – KALIA Scheme , the State Government aims to lend farmers with an all inclusive and flexible support system, ensuring accelerated agricultural prosperity.

Step 2- On Homepage, Click on the option “KALIA Yojana List“.
Step 3- Now, Choose the name of your district.
Step 4- Next, Select your block / ULB and then GP.
Step 5- Now fill the information in all the places, you click on “View List”.
Step 5- Beneficiary list will show on the screen in PDF File
Step 5- Now filling in the CAPTCHA code given on the web page, click on the link of the PDF.
Step 6- Click on “Submit” to open the PDF file of all the candidates, after which the updated KALIA Yojana List will appear on your device screen.

Refund Application Process

Step 2- On Homepage, select“refund application” option
Step 3- PDF file appears on the screen with the application form
Step 4- Click on the “Download” option and take a print out of it

Eligibility Criteria
Beneficiary Guidelines
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of the Odisha state.
- applicant must belong to the marginal or small category.
- The applicant must belong to the BPL category.
- Any farmer who falls under the tax payment structure will not be allowed to apply for the KALIA Yojana.
- If the farmer is working for the state government or the central government or associated with any PSU department then they are not eligible.
- The applicant must have a working bank account.

| Support for cultivation | Financial assistance of Rs.25,000/- per farm family over five seasons will be provided to small and marginal farmers so that farmers can purchase inputs like seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and use assistance towards labour and other investments. This scheme is implemented from current Rabi Season 2018-19 onwards. |
| Support for livelihood | Financial Assistance of Rs.12,500/-will be provided to each landless Agricultural Household for Agricultural allied activities like for small goat rearing unit, mini-layer unit, duckery units, fishery kits for fisherman, mushroom cultivation and bee-keeping, etc. This will particularly benefit to SC & ST population of our State. |

| Life Insurance for Cultivators & Landless Agricultural Laborers | Life insurance cover of Rs. 2.00 lakh at a very nominal premium of Rs.330/- will be provided to all savings bank account holder of age between 18-50 years. |
| Interest-free crop loan | Vulnerable landless laborers, cultivators, share croppers and agricultural families identified by Gram Panchayats will be provided with cop loans up to Rs 50,000 made available at 0% interest. |

- Citizens of Odisha state (Age Between 18 to 50 Years) having a saving bank account will get personal accident cover of Rs. 2 Lakh at Rs.12 Nominal rate. (Odisha Government will pay Rs. 6/-)
- Citizens of Odisha state (Age Between 18 to 50 Years) having a saving bank account will get Life Insurance cover of Rs. 2 Lakh at Rs. 330/- Nominal rate. (Odisha Government will pay Rs. 165/-)
- Landless agricultural labourers will get Rs 10,000 / – per family per year for their care.
- The Odisha government is going to provide financial assistance to small and marginal farmers by giving Rs 25,000 per family in five sessions to help the citizens.
